Perfect prelude to Summer Concerts!
Slow Pulp's concert was superb as always! The man can sing! His music just does not go out of style, evidenced by the packed house, and his fan base is unwavering! He seems to have shed his accent, and I miss it, and the nostalgia it fostered in those of us from Applachia. When I hear him sing in person, I never notice that deviation from the recordings. Thank you so much, DY, for not adding the flashing lights, massive stage sets, and theatrics as are being used by so many performers. The focus here is the music and delivery by the man from whose pen it came. The one addition I'd like to see and hear in his personal appearances is "Guitars, Cadillacs..." ACAPELLA! Thoroughly enjoyable! No matter how many times I replay that on the "...Acoustics" disc, the purity of that "choirboy's voice" is unbelievable. How about at the Tunica, Mississippi concert on 5/22?
